The basis of my faith lies intirely on Jesus Christ and the End Times. Many people denounce the prophecy of Last Days depicted in Revelations, Daniel, and so many other books of the Bible. He is the Beginning and the End. There must be an end. What kind of book or tv show has no end? The greatest story ever told is in the Bible. Starting with the forming of the universe to Kingdom Come. Prophecy shall no doubt occur. Maybe not this generation or the next, but I know it will happen in due time. In Matthew 24, the disciples ask Jesus ‘ tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the earth? ‘ He goes on descibing what the Tribulation Period will be like. False prophets decieving many, nation rising against nation, persicution of new believers during this time are foretold by Jesus Himself. In verse 34, He goes on to say ” ‘ Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled ‘ ” A verse used by athiest and believers alike to denounce the coming of the End Times. This verse alone would arouse suspicion. Many generations have passed since Jesus said these words. But earlier in the chapter, in verse 15, it sheds some light on this verse. Verse 34 seems to reflect back on this one, for it mentions Daniel. Connecting this back to the book of Daniel in the Old Testament suggests that it is of the generation that has yet to come. The generation being the one where the church will be raptured up into Heaven and those Left Behind will face the most catastrophic years the world has ever known.

Many have attempted to find out when the hour and day of its occurance, but ‘ No one know the day or the hour, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father ‘ (Matt. 24:36). The very angels in Heaven no not when the hour shall come…not even Jesus Christ! Only the Father, God Almighty knows when it shall happen. Verse 37 tells ‘ For as the days of Noe [Noah, original Hebrew name] were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. ‘ First off, the coming of Christ is not the Glorious Appearing, that happens near the end of the Tribulation Period. When Christ comes back, He calls back the church being those who have entrusted Christ with their lives and know Him as Saviour. This is known as the Resurrection of the Church. Now there are many different Resurrections, but I won’t get into that right now. Anway, most everyone is familiar with the basic plot line of Noah and the Ark. The entire world gets flooded and the ship is filled with 2 of every animal. Before the flood came ‘ they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe [Noah] entered into the ark. ‘ as verse 38 says. People were living in the moment, partying and bathing in the inequites of their sins. ‘ And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. ‘ We are not going to know when the church of Christ is raptured up into Heaven. It will be just like with Noah and the ark. We shall be about our own business, partying and drinking. Being marry and having the time of our lives. What really makes this so profound is that it shall happen in the proximity of every person on earth. ‘ Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left. Two women shall be grinding away at the mill; the one shall be taken, and the other left. Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come. ‘ (Matt. 24:40-42).

The Tribulation Period following the Rapture shall not start once the church is called home. The final 7 years will officially kick off with the signing between the Antichrist and Israel. ‘ And he shall confirm the covenant with many for week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate… ‘ (Daniel 9:27) The week translates into 7 years. Revelations 13:5 ‘ The beast was given a mouth to utter proud words and blasphemies and to exercise his authority for forty-two months. ‘ This takes place during the Tribulation Period and everyone know there is definetly not 42 months in a week. It also gives insight to the previous excert from Daniel. ‘ and in the midst of the weekhe shall cause the sacrificeand the oblation to cease ‘ The 42 months equals 3 and a half years. This would examine that the midst is really half way in the Tribulation. Where Antichrist turns from a peace loving fanatic to iron fist synic that would put Stalin, Hitler, and Putin to shame.

The Corrupt and Decieving Days

2 Timothy 3:1 But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days. 2 People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, 3 without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, 4 treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God— 5 having a form of godliness but denying its power. Have nothing to do with them.

 

The world we live in consists of two views. Our world is what goes on everyday in our lives. Hanging out with friends, going to church, joking with co-workers. It’s what we make out of it. You fail, it’s your fault, not mine. And if it was my fault, it’s your fault to have trusted me. Blame whoever you can. You break-up with your boyfriend. The girl over there mourns the loss, wallowing in her tears of youth escapades. Another girl would just call the next guy in line. Seeing the whole concept as status. Coming home and deciding to relax after a long, stressful day at work. Instead of watching the troubles of other people, you decide to treat yourself to some eye candy. Paying a few bucks to get some hot, steamy porn. The wife’s off with her parents for the week, you’ll get the bill before then. A simple minded standpoint of OUR world is but a reflection in the water. Just that this reflection is at a far distance, because what the world is and has become is something to lose all hope over. Drugs rule the underworld of the cities. Rival drug overlords battling for territory. The war pigs of this earth continue to duke it out for reasons that have no gain. Gore and violence still entertains the twisted minds of people around the world. Rape is on the all time high in today’s history. What God has told is wrong is sinful is pleasure to the rest of the world. Everyone knows that it’s wrong, yet we continue to do it. We are rebellious in nature and take grand joy and pride in it. Taking His Name and putting it lower than dirt. Taking what we can for ourselves and forsaking the needs of others. Hoarding what we can so we can proclaim to the rest of society “look what I have!”

Hope for this world is thinning so quickly. The moment someone begins to make things better for society, they are immediatley killed or taken out of the picture. Martin Luther King Jr., John F. Kennedy, Ghandi, Mother Teresa, Abraham Lincoln, Sitting Bull, these people began to make a difference, yet were all taken out of the picture or have lost influence. This drives billions around the world to lose all hope for this forsaken planet and enjoy life while they can. Having sex with countless different people. Ruining the lives of others so they can get their minds off their own problems, choosing violence over peace,  murdering people to make their own life easier, decieving others to make profit to fill their own wallets. . .the moment someone proposes peace, we are all giving them our undivided attention. Through propaganda, Adolf Hitler fooled an entire nation to believe him a god who was going to make the world a perfect place. Leaders today, locally or globally, propose so many promises tha are obviously to good to be true. The gov, media, society, religion, and people individually are so corrupt that why do we even bother to change a world that is already wailing out in unsatifiyable pain. Advocates of destruction yell blaspemy about war, politics, the perverse society, extermination. The media makes up so many things to get you to watch. Gaining so much profit with ratings. It could tell you that the sky is falling, and countless would believe it. When radio first emerged, a radia host decided to tell a suspence/thriller story about the world’s end. Those tunning in later in the show thought that the world truely was coming to an end. People began to panic; crashes, murder, suicide, and paranoia was rapidly takng escalation. Despite this, people continued to listen to the radio. They came back to the one who decieved them and listened again and again and again. . .People try to make things better, facing obstacles and trials that test their endurance. Countless being martyred for their causes. Others don’t even bother. They either neglect the problem as a whole or acknowledge it, but don’t do anything about it. They carry on with their daily lives and continue to live in their own secluded little world. So many are just trying to hang on for dear life. They can’t change their situation and are not aware of what is going on everywhere else. The only thougths that consume their mind’s are how to live another day. We are Livin’ on the Edge. There is no neglecting it. So many inequities and transgressions that mark this world make it so unbearable. Sometimes looking back at better times is much better than looking toward the future, for the future is no where brighter than today. On the contrary, a hallway that grows ever so dimmer as society continues to take its walk down to its iminite end. You really can’t help yourself from falling, you can’t stop it. The world is carening downward and there is nothing you can do to stop it, but there is a way to save your life. . .

As a follower of Christ, I strive to do what I can for Him. Blogging has proved to be an effective way for me to spread and express; my thoughts, my beliefs, what God is teaching me, concerns, and what I listen to. I can say right now, without any hesitation, that reading the Bible was not easy for me. It wasn’t so much that I didn’t like it, but that it was a different genre. It wasn’t a straight-out action, dramatic story. Sure there are some grand things in the Bible, but the way it was displayed made it lack luster. So after giving my life to Christ, the only things I learned from the Bible were from sermons in church and youth group. I made attempts at reading the Bible, but it failed to catch my interest (which is something hard for me to do when it comes to books).

During the summer, I was actually forced to read the Bible on a missions trip. There were two problems at hand: a) what to read b) I did not have a Bible on me. I got a Bible, so the only thing left was to find something to read about. I didn’t want to waste time jumping here and there, no point in that. I began to think to myself ‘if Genesis is about the Beginning, then would the final book, Revelations, be about The End?’ So I started right in the beginning of Revelations to see what is was about. I knew it had to do something about the Rapture, but that was really it. I admit, the first few chapters were hard to understand (the second and third chapters had to do with churches around the world that i didn’t even know about). The fourth chapter really captured my interest. From there on, I started reading on about so many events and judgements that were to come. Angels sounding trumpets, Armageddon, martyers, horsemen, Antichrist, New Heaven and Earth, Jesus coming back, Assassination, The Number of the Beast, Raining Blood. . . . I never dreamed that the Bible would talk about such. . . whoa.  Without a doubt, the Book of Revelations is my most FAVOURITE book in the entire Bible. It has just captivated me so. Delving into such a perplexing topic that I just cannot get enough of. Maybe it wasn’t wise to begin reading the Bible with Revelations (i was told so many times), but it has just brought me O’ so close to my God. To see His Love, Mercy, and Justice measured upon the human race brings me in awe. It is what has motivated me to do what I can for the short time I have on this Earth. If He takes me Home or comes back, I want Him to find me serving the King of Kings when either one happens. It has just brought me to appreciate what He has done, what He is doing, and what He shall do. There is none like Him. He is the Alpha and the Omega. The Beginning and The End. The Bright Morning Star.

What I aim to do in this blog is not to be someone who tries to be a pessimist (even though i like taking that view on things, be it for fun or a result of paranoia, i usually end up thinking that way). What I will try to do is express my view on what is to come. I WILL NOT talk about WHEN it will happen. There have been a myriad of “experts” who try to cough up a date. Be it by historical references or counting a bunch of seemingly random numbers, I WILL NOT put my 2 cents in on such a wasted effort. What I will attempt to do is keep a focus on just what I mentioned earlier: what is to come. It may seem prosaic, but I will mainly focus on how the Tribulation Period will take place. Now, do not think I came about all of this on my own. Through the proposed idea of Tim LaHaye (a biblical scholar on the End Times, most well known for co-writing the Left Behind Series along with Jerry Jenkins) and the Bible, I will basically follow what they say. That is not to say I do not have an opinion to add to it. I will merely branch out with what I believe is going happen, only with these two sources as my general guideline. Like I said before, if this was just about saying what the Bible and Tim LaHaye have to say, then why bother. To tell you the truth, I would not have been so captivated with this if I didn’t have something to apply it to. What I will do in this blog is focus on a particular song (yes, a song) that I believe reflects a certain “step” in the End Times. The songs will range from the different styles of rock to alternative music. I try to choose songs with music that compliment the stressed topic, but ultimately keeping the focus on the lyrics and applying scripture to the event. I will tell you right now that I am far from a biblical scholar. I have only been looking into the End Times for less than a year. The whole concept of adding music to this was only arranged 4 months ago. I do realize there are songs out there that could very much be part of the compilation, but I just haven’t come across them yet. So please excuse me if this was too long, but I just really wanted to get my point across. I wil apply my theology before becoming a Christ follower, what the New Birth has taught me, everything I have thus far learned of the End Times, and what God pushes me to write about.
